Kowloon, Hong Kong. 1988.

This was a study produced in conjunction with urban design students at the University of Hong Kong. It was carried out in response to the Hong Kong Government’s search for alternatives to harbour reclamation in their overall Metroplan for the Yau Ma Tei Typhoon Shelter area. This scheme involves the construction of large deck housing transport and building services systems, with modular high rise building development above, helping to provide better environmental quality and a more dynamic waterfront image.
