Ocean Park, Hong Kong, 1999.

As a gesture of goodwill, the people of China–through the government of the PRC–gave a gift to the people of Hong Kong upon the promulgation of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The gift was a family of endangered panda bears from Woolong in China’s Sichuan Province. Reflecting our deep interest in nature and concern for the environment, we designed their new home: a comprehensive habitat at Ocean Park on the southern side of Hong Kong Island.
